Opposite sides of the sun

We identify places on earth where the sun is simultaneously rising and setting so we can display photos of that instant side by side. Then we compare the people and the places where each photo was taken. Check out our groups on FLICKR

(there is more than one right answer for each originating photo, based on the observers longitude and time of year)

Simple start, Pair #1

All we need right now to kick off the project is ONE photo of a SETTING sun, anywhere in the world where the sun is rising in Acadia National Park, Maine, at the same time. We chose the Acadia sunrise as the first half of the first pair because it is the first sunrise in the United States, and because I was there recently to take a photo. Tools like THIS ONE will be useful. I think the first match is probably in India or China somewhere but I am staying hands off to see if we can find it naturally. s
